“A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher,” (Lk. 6:40).
How do we become like our teacher? What was He in fact like? Do we actually want to be like Him?
If so, we must ask the question of what it means to become like Him. The journey of discipleship under our crucified teacher and master Jesus is not for the faint of heart. It’s for those who desire to not be their own master any longer and let the teacher dictate the remainder of their lives. This, is discipleship.
